Located in a residential neighborhood,
the Maplewood Club offers a beautiful setting for parties
and gatherings of family and friends, or business and professional associates.
Since the Club's founding in 1916, it has been available to host wedding
receptions,
Christenings and confirmation parties, baby showers, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs,
anniversaries and all manner of family celebrations. Similarly, business
people have found our Clubhouse ideal for meetings and presentations.
Situated within a quiet area of older Colonial-style homes, the Maplewood
Club is surrounded by trees and shrubbery, providing a feeling of seclusion
during warm weather months.
|
Our clubhouse is designed in a traditional colonial style and has been
updated and maintained to assure the comfort of our guests. We have a new central air
conditioning system to allow summer events and in 2004 the clubhouse underwent a major renovation.
We can welcome up to 118 guests
who are seated at tables, or 232 seated as an audience. The main
room of the Clubhouse consists of three open areas: a dining room, a rear
area, and an enclosed porch. Our kitchen meets the most stringent
professional standards.
|
The dining room is a semi-formal room featuring a beautiful fireplace
and mantel. A hardwood floor throughout is
excellent
for dancing. We can provide tables and chairs, or you can have them delivered
by your caterer. We offer two sizes of round tables that can comfortably
seat 6 or 10 people, or you can use our rectangular tables that can seat
8. Our resident staff will assist in arranging the room to your requirements.
If you will be having live music at your party, we can provide panels to
place behind the band to improve the room's acoustics.
|
The Clubhouse
features a glass-enclosed porch overlooking the Club's patio and tennis
courts. Beyond the courts are two spectacular copper beech trees. Immediately
in front of the porch is a lovely perennial garden. Guests are welcome
to venture through the porch entrance to enjoy our patio and lawn.
|
Directly off the dining room, the kitchen is professionally
equipped to meet the final preparation requirements of your caterer. We
have a large refrigerator, warming ovens and a professional stove, as well
as ample counter space. Our own caterer and other area caterers have worked effectively and efficiently
in our kitchen for many years for all types of affairs.

Staff
John Voskian is The Maplewood Club's caretaker. Prior
to your event, he will assure that the clubhouse is spotless, that tables
and chairs are arranged to your requirements, and that your caterer and
party planner have full access to the Clubhouse to perform their final
preparations and set-up. You will find him exceptionally cooperative and
helpful.
John is available for additional services during your event.

Grounds and Parking
The grounds of the Maplewood Club have been professionally landscaped,
and are open and available for use by your guests. A pathway from the front
entrance connects to a long patio with umbrella tables overlooking the
Club's tennis courts. On the south side of the clubhouse, an expanse of
lawn provides an attractive setting for outdoor photographs.
|
The Club's parking lot has space for 45 vehicles, and up to 10 additional
can be parked along the driveway. For renters who have arranged for valet
parking (not provided by the Club), a portico covers the main entrance,
allowing guests to enter and exit their cars without exposure to inclement
weather.
|
|
The Club's tennis courts and playground are not available for the use
of our guests. Renters should be aware that during daylight in warm weather
months, members of the Club may be playing tennis and using the grounds
during the renter's event. Except for use of the rest rooms, the Club's
members will not use the Clubhouse while it is being rented, and will show
every consideration to assure the satisfaction of our guests.
